Doppl launched in June 2025 as a free Google Labs app for the US. Google announced the shutdown in March 2026, and the app is gone from the App Store and Google Play. Google now points people to Google Try On, which only works on products Google lists.
We make ButtonUp, which isn’t affiliated with Google.

What carries over
| Doppl had | In ButtonUp |
|---|---|
| Your photo plus a screenshot | Yes |
| Saved looks | Yes, with albums |
| Short videos | No, still images only |
| Android | No, iPhone only |
Doppl was US-only. ButtonUp is on the App Store in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and much of Europe, but not in India, Mexico, Japan, Singapore or South Korea.
How it works in ButtonUp
- Add a full-length photo of yourself. You can keep more than one.
- Screenshot an outfit, or tap Share on a post, pin or product page and choose ButtonUp.
- See the look on you, save it to an album, or go back to the product.
Each look comes from one picture, so pieces from different screenshots can’t be combined.
